7.10.2 Release Tasks

This page lists the status for all of the tasks related to the 7.10 release of the Platform.

The expected release date of GHC 7.10.2 is June 16th, 2015.

Infrastructure

• (Erik) Gain access to the haskell.org web production servers.

Status: Waiting for Gershom to provision service.

• (Erik) Document in notes/RELEASE how to update the production server.
• (Erik) Test sftp access (add a new page - see if it appears.)

Website

• Figure out how to perform OS detection in Javascript.
• Integrate OS detection with a download page like the one at Ben's prototype. Code up the page as a .mu template file and build it using hptool.
• Add download button to the front page of haskell.org

Notes: Need to dig into https://github.com/haskell-infra/hl to figure out how the front page is generated.

Platform / Installers

• (Erik?) single command linux installer
• (Erik?) fix linux symlinking issue
• fix windows networking bug (?)
