ping fails but devices are working

Recently (i don't know when it started exactly) my battery devices fail to ping but report status changes just fine
I specifically have two type of sensor:
A door window sensor (NEO-DS07Z) and a motion sensor (NAS-PD07Z) both from neocoolcam. All the sensor works fine but none of them respond to ping
AC powered devices are working fine and ping with no issue
These two are the only two types of battery powered devices that i have so i don't know if is a device issue driver issue or a cordinator issue (Aeotec Gen-7 usb stick with firmware 7.21.6) I'm more inclined of thinking of a device issue because the ping starts working again if i physically wake up the nodes and stops working as soon as they get to sleep but I'm not sure
