Alternate Web UI | Shift #1972

Hey guys,
Hope you're all well!

Does anyone have any tips, knows or have any instructions on how I can get a different web UI Shift, working on a Synology NAS, please?
I've set the environment variable, TRANSMISSION_WEB_UI = shift with the web page defaulting to transmissions UI.
I've also tried mounting "data/shift" to the volume "docker/transmission-home"

I couldn't really see anything in the logs that mentioned a web UI.
I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I'm not really too skilled in these things, so please do pardon my ignorance. :)

ok, first of all, remove all your volume mounts..
you should only need a single one for /data if you are not spreading your sub dirs across multiple mount points
'-v /your/storage/path/:/data' is enough for that.
I only have two mounts : /data mapped to my storage disk and a custom ovpn file..
also, your OPENVPN_CONFIG should not contain .ovpn
are you using a compose or run command?

hmmm ok, so the only folder that is mounted is /data and the TRANSMISSION_WEB_UI = shift with the web UI still defaulting back

I don't believe that settings.json file gets updated to include the web UI variable, if that is supposed to reflect a change?
Re .ovpn, sorry that was a typo, my mistake. No, no commands are been used? If it might be of help, I've placed the logs below/

How are you creating the container in the first place?
There’sa fatal error in that log, something really wrong..
Have you tried using the default run command or compose file from the README?
If you ssh into the container you can print the env variable or exec run it or open a console (assuming you are using portainer)

To create I use the default Syno Docker app.
I've just installed portainer and am looking at learning how to use it, lots of googling to do haha.

DSM is a hassle with various restrictions.. yes, the Syno Docker app is pretty rubbish.
Portainer is quite easy, recommend creating a docker-compose file for easier use.
