Restart when loosing connection but...

First of all: thanks a lot for this super useful project! thought i ll have to use a second raspberry pi to make vpn work for transmission but not for other services (as I don't have the time to fiddle around that much right now) but this made it super easy!!
Working perfectly fine on my Rasperry Pi 4 with ProtonVPN...

Only one "issue" to make it perfect: When using this OPENVPN_OPTS=--inactive 3600 --ping 10 --ping-exit 60 its said to use it with restart=always. Although I also used TRANSMISSION_SCRAPE_PAUSED_TORRENTS_ENABLED=false to save some resources once the seeding goals are reached I would like to turn off the whole thing till I need it again.

Is there a way to circumvent docker restarting the container when manually stopped ('docker compose down')? Normally I use restart=unless-stopped with most docker containers but that would mean if connection drops and the container is stopped automatically it wont be started afterwards, right?!

okay misunderstanding, there was just some misconfig with monit as it seems. Just found out (just after asking here, how clichee) what I wanted to have is exactly what happens with 'restart=always'...
