Notifications issue

Hi there.
My notifications don’t work. For example, when I take a screenshot, nothing shows up like in your video.

Also, I don’t know if this is normal, but when I press Ctrl + H to open the widget, it doesn’t overlap the current window. I have to move to an empty workspace to actually see it.

sorry for the late reply, yes, that is caused by eww having fixed gap parameter, it depends on your screen resolution, if you want to fix this you can check the notification scripts.

I'm planning to ditch eww and use AGS and Astal really soon on this rice, stay tuned for that.

I’ve already solved the problem—it was caused by a missing Python library. I realized this when I tried to run:

~/eww master ❯ ~/.config/eww/scripts/notification_handler.py 19:09:17

line 2, in <module> 
  import dbus 
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'dbus'

and that happened, I think maybe its a good idea write in the README.md that its necessary
that python library.

Also about the widget I modified

~/.config/eww/widgets/device-control.yuck
~/.config/eww/widgets/resource-monitor.yuck
~/.config/eww/widgets/music-control.yuck (o music-window.yuck)
~/.config/eww/widgets/custom-calendar.yuck

those files changing the line

:stacking "fg"

to

:stacking "overlay"

and now the widgets overslaps over the windows as expected.

(ChatGPT really helped me solve these issues since I had no idea how to fix them).
