Problems running NES roms

Whenever I load a NES Rom, I have issues with either ghosting or very distorted screens.
For instance Super Mario the menu screen is distorted, the black world screen is fine and then the level is completely distorted.
on Mario Bros 3 i get a lot of ghosting.

I'm not sure what you mean by ghosting and distortion, can you provide a photo? I wonder if it might be related to the background color somehow bleeding over into hblank if I have the timing a bit off for some purposes. I'm curious about how you're viewing the N64 output:

• connection (component video? RF? HDMI mod?)
• display (capture device? CRT?)
• video standard for both N64 and display (NTSC? PAL?)

Hello,

I'm using the component output on a LCD TV. The N64 games on my Summercart64 have no issues.
I use the same Component input for my actual NES and that works.
I have the issue with roms from any region.
