CPU 100%

I often observe that hev-socks5-tunn process consumes 100% of CPU time. After restarting the hev-socks5-tunn daemon everything returns to normal. I'm not sure how to reproduce or what to trace when the problem returns. lsof shows nothing abnormal. The traffic I see on my router is minimal at that time. Any thoughts?
My system is Gentoo, compiler is gcc-15.

Sorry I didn't test the patch, in the process of applying it I noticed some of the binaries didn't change for some time so instead I did 'make clean' and then 'make' on the 'main' branch. For the last part of Friday I noticed neither high cpu consumption spikes nor 'epoll_wait's. And no, I can't reproduce the issue other than monitoring and watching the logs, but I'll keep monitoring it on Monday..

2. Ctrl + Z (Suspend curl process)

I see what you mean but I already found out a few times that downloading huge files didn't overload the CPU. My channel's throughput is 300 Mbit and downloading one file at full speed didn't cause any problem other than some 20-50 % of CPU consumption.

The key point is to suspend the curl process while downloading.

Well, I tried to run this curl command and it ran without any problem.
