Hi @guenhof ,
in sudo raspi-config
Under 2 Display Options – choose D4 Screen Blanking and disable it.
That should work. If it doesn't it's best to do a fresh install, it's so easy with the Raspberry Pi OS installer these days: https://www.thedigitalpictureframe.com/how-to-set-up-your-raspberry-pi-for-your-digital-picture-frame
