underline invisible in python script

Summary

In python I can't see the insert cursor (underline). Tried to overwrite the theme (monokai_soda).
themes/mytheme.toml:

inherits = "monokai_soda"
"ui.cursor.insert"            = { fg = "red", bg = "white" }

The bar cursor works.

..no problems when using alacritty.
