How can I update the grammar and build the new version, if I change the source rev nothing happens?

I am trying to test updating a grammar. I change the rev="xxx" in languages.toml and :

hx --grammar fetch
Fetching 237 grammars
237 up to date git grammars

hx --grammar build
Building 237 grammars
237 grammars already built

The build was instant, nothing was built. If I delete the grammar in question it works and downloads and builds, BUT it somehow builds the old version of the grammar. Is my install messed up or am I missing something obvious? I can't find any cache...

Do you have a [[grammar]] config for this language also in ~/.config/helix/languages.toml or .helix/languages.toml? That's the only reason I could think why the old version would be built. There isn't a cache layer like some package managers use, only $HELIX_RUNTIME/grammars/sources/<language> where the repo is cloned

I have this in ~/.config/helix/languages.toml

name = "bash"
formatter = { command = 'shfmt', args = ["-i", "4"] }
auto-format = true

Is it possible this was messing it up?

language configuration like that shouldn't be an issue, it should only matter if you have a [[grammar]] section for name = "bash" 🤔

I must have messed up my config somehow. I am going to format the computer soon and install again from scratch, so thanks for the help, I will come back if it happens again on another machine.
