Hello, is there any way to change only the color of the variable passed into a string.

The tree-sitter-highlight-name says it'sa string, variable
However the color of this variable only changes with the variable key in my themes.toml, therefore is there any way to target like string.variable?

The :tree-sitter-highlight-name output shows all of the active theme scopes under the cursor. So in this case string and then variable is layered on top of that. There isn't a way to theme cases where two (or more) highlights are active. Instead the highlights layer over each other. If string highlighted a background color and variable highlighted a foreground color for example, the variable would have the string background and variable foreground.

At any point is the helix editor planning to replace "string, variable" into its own type? So we can fully customize the theme of this type?

I'm not sure it's possible to do this in textmate either - which is what Helix's theming system is loosely based on. Instead we could consider adding a capture name that's more specific for this, like variable.interpolated or something like that
