Conflicting keybindings

Summary

I cannot set two similar keybinding both involving ctrl but only one adding shift, because the one without shift takes precedence.

Eg.

C-m =  ":sh echo 'a'"
C-S-m =  ":sh echo 'b'"

this will always print a even if I keep shift pressed.

I can't reproduce this with Kitty or Ghostty on macOS

I was able to reproduce with wezterm on fedora. I am using the termina branch. Even with just C-S-m = ":sh echo 'b'" it doesnt seem to work, so not sure if there is another issue?

I have the same issue in fedora 42 using latest alacritty and gnome terminal. The following keybindings don't work:

# Search word under cursor with picker in current buffer
"C-g" = "@be<A-*><space>/<ret> %p <C-r>%"
# Search word under cursor with picker global
"C-G" = "@be<A-*><space>/<ret>"

Same config file, bindings and helix version works fine in Ubuntu 24.04.
Similar keybindings in zellij in alacritty work. so distinction between C and C-S is not a general problem in fedora.
