Buffer picker (Windows vs Linux)

Hello. I'm a user of Helix in both Windows and Linux. In both systems I'm using Alacritty.
I've noticed that when opening the buffer picker (space b), the behavior differs between the two OSes.

In Windows. Buffer picker opens, and goes down one item.
In Linux (Mint). Buffer picker opens, and stays on the first item.

Could not find anything on this behavior in docs, or customizing it.
Has anyone noticed this?

I honestly prefer the behavior on Windows, as it allows for switching quickly between the latest two files (space b enter).
