tabs<->spaces ?

I know I can, for example %|expand -t4 or %|unexpand -t3, and I can define a keybind macro to do that for me, but the indent-size is hard-coded. Is there some way to auto-detect the indent-size? or, at least, is there a way to "pass args" to a keybind?

Should this be a built-in feature? vscode has it
