Python is not supported?

I try to use helix to edit a python file, but it does not auto-indent for me, also, it does not prompt auto-completion candidates for me. Trying other operations, it says Language server not active for current buffer.

worth to mention, I have /usr/local/bin/pyls installed on my computer already. According to this, I don't think any extra config is needed to make the LSP work.

The config is TOML-based, not JSON.

@thomkeh in language-server's args = ["--stdio "] part, notice the space after --stdio , without the space, hx will crush.

language-server = { command = "pyright-langserver", args = ["--stdio "] }

But whatever, pyright won't work, it's a helix's bug that makes it not working with pyright at the moment.

@kirawi I don't understand your comment? yes, helix config is toml (and what I pasted is toml), but pyright's config is in JSON

EDIT: okay I understand now, you are saying that helix converts TOML to JSON, so it should be like this:

config = { python = {} }

I can confirm that this works (but the way I had it before also worked)

EDITEDIT: actually the config setting seems to have no effect
