Tabs dont align when indent-style uses spaces

Im not sure how to describe my query properly therefore i have attached this video

When indent-style uses tabs instead of spaces, The tabs take existing characters into consideration.
For example on a new line when 2 characters are typed, the first tab is only 2 characters wide (instead of 4).

How may i replicate this when using spaces with indent-style ?
