Why is selection manipulation in normal mode? Perhaps there should be a new mode introduced.

By default, selections appears in editor.statusline.left, quite distant from mode displayed in editor.statusline.right.

It can be risky if one forgets to keep_primary_selection, especially when selections are widely separated.

A temporary solution could be:
