Can't get solc (Solidity LSP) to work

Summary

Hello, I should preface this by saying that the solc LSP did work for me when I first installed it. I'm not sure what might've changed, but since then it doesn't work for me. I tried reinstalling it as well.

I tried opening some Solidity files from a newly initialized foundry project, but I also tried this with a fresh hardhat project and a blank .sol file, and the LSP doesn't work for any of them.

hx --health shows me that solc is installed, and i have it added to my path.

^^ This seems to be the moment where something goes wrong (It's when i try to show docs for a variable). I can't figure out why. Any help with this would be very much appreciated :)

Reproduction Steps

I tried this:

1. Initialize a new foundry project with forge init hello_foundry
2. cd hello_foundry
3. I added some files that solc was reporting as missing in the helix.log, but I don't think this is relevant. It certainly didn't fix the issue for me.
4. hx src/Counter.sol -v
5. Tried to get docs (Space+K) for the number variable. Helix just shows Language server exited in the toolbar. Then I just typed number in a newline to see if anything would pop up.

I expected this to happen:

1. Standard LSP behaviour (show docs, autocomplete).

Instead, this happened:

1. Helix just shows me Language server exited and sometimes an Async job failed error.

This looks like a bug upstream in solc - I can reproduce with Helix and nvim with those same reproduction steps. It looks like the language server is exiting because of a segfault

Don't know if anyone still trying to make it work, but I spent some time trying to run solc with helix, and for me the solution ended up to be not using solc hahaha, I changed the language.toml file, so i could use solidity-ls instead, and its working fine till now.

Didn't find many people talking about solidity with helix while I was trying to solve this problem, so this post serves to anyone who is stuck in some similar issue.
