Currently, goto next/prev (diagnostic, git change, etc.) do not populate the jumplist before jumping. My mental model for the jumplist is "Ctrl-O/I go back/forward through places I've just been at", and goto next/prev not populating the jumplist breaks that model: Ctrl-O jumps somewhere way earlier than "place I've just been at", then Ctrl-I does not return back to where I just was.

As a data point, in neovim goto next/prev thing does add to the jumplist.
