[Question] Replacement for/successor to Aerich?

Would be curious if there are docs/notes/blog post somewhere discussing the shortcomings of Aerich and whether this project is the successor-in-waiting?

Is Aerich development going to slow down/cease as a result? etc.

Any context is appreciated :)

Some notes from me:

• aerich generates migrations by comparing the model to the database state, hence requiring a database connection. Comparing against the database yields different results depending on which database you connect it to. This is probably the biggest issue. tortoise-pathway is designed to compare the model to the state that the database would have if all migrations are applied, no database connection needed.
• aerich does not have support data migrations with Python code
• Lots of issues and bugs, the code quality isn't great

I ran Deep Research on this topic, here's the result. It includes some of my points from the above but it's quite wordy.

Here's a discussion on a better migration architecture for aerich,I disagree with the proposed approach but there is some context in this issue.

aerich is maintained by another maintainer, I cannot really comment on this.
