String is not encoded correctly when backup restored . urgent help please

Hi, Its very urgent, 
I used mongodb-backup to tar then using that tar mongodb-restore, but data is not correctly encoded. simple string are not correct, no readable encoding..Or i am not sure about the possible cause..
What to do..
Please help..
