Collaborate with OpenAPI TypeScript

@mrlubos There is significant overlap between these projects and the ones from OpenAPI TypeScript. Given that the licenses are compatible, it may be better to collaborate, rather than to compete. See the cross-posted discussion.

Hey! What do you imagine by collaboration? I'm trying to understand where this thread is coming from. For what it's worth, openapi-typescript has fundamentally different design principles (the "no codegen" codegen approach)

Right. Lubos and I are buds! There’s not “competition,” that’s not how open source works. Projects arise from different needs and constraints, and at this point it’d be more disruptive to try and merge both projects because it’d mean breaking changes for at least one. But it’s all open source! Code may be repurposed within the license guidelines. You yourself can start a project combining the best of both and that’s OK! At the end of the day, having more options is better for people. It’s always collaboration, not competition, when it’s all open source.
