🐞 Problem Description

In several places we are using set_key

DeprecationWarning: The 'set_key' method is deprecated, Use set_key_without_alias instead.

💡 Expected Solution

We should update uses of set_key and for set_key_without_alias and ensure everything functions as expected

🧠 Implementation Notes

Remove uses of set_key in examples, src, tests and replace with set_key_without_alias if it is safe to do so

✅ Acceptance Criteria

To merge this issue, the pull request must:

  • Fully address the problem described above
  • Follow existing project conventions and patterns
  • Include tests or example updates where appropriate
  • Pass all CI checks
  • Include a valid changelog entry
  • Use DCO and GPG-signed commits
