Interesting. Another goal for yabsnap was to have the code to be safe but accessible, and it was born because it turned out implementing a popularly requested feature in snapper was difficult or time consuming. (This is a general comment on yabsnap history, not about btrbk.) Technically you can use the But if remote backup is in your scope, btrbk might manage this with config, and it could be a better alternative for you. It should definitely be added in the list of alternatives here, along with remote backup as a feature. I'll do it after I read a bit more about it. If you do use it, please let us know which features it has. |

New to btrfs in general, trying to get a better picture of other ways that complement yabsnap for a comprehensive btrfs solution. I see btrbk as a popular tool but not mentioned in this repo--can yabsnap be considered a replacement or does it offer anything different? E.g. I see that btrbk mentions remote backup and yabsnap doesn't, but there's nothing about yabsnap that can't do what btrbk advertises for this feature?
