Description
Hello Lukas / CopyQ team,
I hope you are doing well, and thank you for your excellent work on CopyQ.
I would like to suggest a feature and get your guidance. I often copy several separate pieces of text (for example, four snippets) and want to paste them all at once, preserving the order in which they were copied (FIFO: first copied → first pasted).
The ideal behavior would include a global hotkey that allows one of the following:
-
Sequential paste: Pressing the hotkey pastes each clipboard item in order, one after another, without bringing the CopyQ UI to the foreground.
-
Concatenate-and-paste: Combine selected or last-N items into a single clipboard entry (preserving order) and paste it with one action.
I am using CopyQ v13.0.0 on Windows. My main goal is a smooth workflow for pasting multiple items efficiently, while respecting their chronological order, via a hotkey.
Could you advise if there is an existing recommended approach, or if this could be considered as a feature in a future release? Any guidance on possible workarounds or scripting approaches would be appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time and for maintaining CopyQ.
Best regards,
Reza
