Building from source

Hello,
I've been trying to package Homarr from source, but seem to always end up with the following when running as a service:

Are the instructions up-to-date? Has anyone else built this from source and could chime in?

Verified my setup and can now successfully run Homarr, but it is inaccessible. Every time I try to access it, I get this:

Is some env variable for HOSTNAME set?

No, a hostname variable isn't set in the .env file.

My setup is not very difficult. I am packaging the app in Yunohost, on Debian 12. Essentially the process is the same as installing natively. My install script is here, should be easy to understand: botagas/homarr_ynh@master/scripts/install

When running from source you should run the nextjs app on port 3000, otherwise it will not work currently. There is an open issue to allow changing the current default ports:

• 3000: NextJS App with application to use
• 3001: Websocket server for realtime updates
• 6379: Redis server
• 7575: Nginx server to proxy requests to both port 3000 and 3001

You could also try to set HOSTNAME to your devices hostname to see if it changes anything

I did forget to reply, after I tried setting hostname var., but sadly that had no difference. I simply post-poned further testing until I am done with my master's degree.
