Homarr keeps resetting after a reboot

Everytime I reboot my ubuntu server, homarr loses all of its data and I need to configure it all again every single time.

my current docker compose

What do you mean with loses all of it's data? Do you need to onboard everytime?

documentation for docker volumes is not correct and it will create some unnamed volumes.

volumes:
        - ./local-data/appdata:/appdata
        - ./local-data/config:/app/data/configs
        - ./local-data/data:/data 
        - /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock 

this will prevent the unnamed volumes from being created and everything will be saved in local-data directory.

This is not correct, the documentation is up to date and you're using the old and deprecated version of Homarr. The new version (1.0 and newer) requires other mounts.

Any update on this? Were you able to get this fixed? I just recently installed Homarr and my docker compose is identical and any time I try to update I lose everything. Nothing seems to persist through container updates. I don't want to spend time configuring a dashboard until I can get it to persist through updates. I've tried creating named volumes as well and nothing seems to help. Everytime I try updating the container I am forced to start from ground zero.

when you run Homarr or any docker compose. Look at what volumes it creates using docker desktop or docker cli. Bind those volumes to a local directory in your compose file. Look at my previous comment at what worked for me.

If you are still using the version from ajnart/homarr then you are correct with the volumes you've used. However if you are using homarr-labs/homarr which is v1+ then you'll only need /appdata, see the official docs
