Description of problem, include YAML if issue is related to notifications:
After updating, the app doesn't load any content, and voice assist doesn't work anymore.

I already tried to clear the cache, force stop the app and even restart the phone.

Yes, the first time I open it after force closing it

On this version the first time you open the app it should ask you a question about security Most or less secure. Did you have this screen?

I'm using fingerprint to unlock, and I get the popup, but after that just a blank screen

If you don't have too many widgets/shortcuts/tiles you can remove the app and install it again. It seems that something is stuck that we didn't test maybe with the app lock feature.

Trying to replicate this by upgrading from an older app with http with app lock enabled to the latest version, I'm unable to reproduce this. After updating I need to unlock and choose a connection security level.

We're both presuming this is related to connection security here, but just to confirm: do you have an http url set for Home Assistant?

Yes I do.
It's a local server and HAOS runs in a VM

Not that I can tell. Should I look for something specific in the logs ?

I can confirm same issue. Woke up this morning, opened app, saw the changelog, I was very happy that finally update is released which resolves the double notifications. But ended up with blank screen. Phone restart did not help, reinstall the app helped, but setting everything back up took a while... Bit unpleasant... But hey, can happen, we are all humans and make mistakes.

Any error at all, to know whether or not the app is trying to reach your server or failing before then :) Do you sensors still update or has that also stopped?

@FredyReady do you also have app lock enabled + HTTP url in use?

Sensors seem to work, the status is updated on the server.
In fact I have an automation that starts based on the phone alarm and it worked as expected this morning, so the app can reach the server maybe it's just a "frontend" issue ?

OK, this is fun. Just opened the app and it showed the "secure connection" popup, dismissed, and now the app loads as expected.

It looks like a race condition while displaying the secure connection, once you would have pick an option (I recommend Most secure and you to read https://companion.home-assistant.io/docs/getting_started/connection-security-level/) this screen won't be shown again so the blank screen should not happen anymore.

FYI we've made a small release this morning that fix an issue about not being able to switch between most and less secure but I highly encourage you to take the time to use Most secure, to avoid leaking any of your data 🙏🏻.

I'm going to close the issue, since the whole code is already under a big refactor for a future release and this is taking into consideration.
