Hello,
first of all I'd like to thank everybody involved for creating such an amazing and privacy aware software! I started with HA on a Raspberry PI with version around 0.6x and honestly never updated until recently. It is absolutely amazing to see how far HA has evolved in such a (relatively) short time!
Amongst many other things I'm fond of there is the "c" (ommand) and "e"(ntity) shortcut in Lovelace. I love to have the ability to just type "c" and "res" to restart HA after having made a change. After installing a new custom_component this is (for me) the way to go.
But after editing a .yaml file I'd like to check the configuration first. So I'd propose to add an additional command to the command shortcuts, e.g.
validate configuration
or
check configuration
which runs the validation check, gives feedback and if the configuration is valid presents an option to restart HA.
Nothing "high priority" but maybe of some use :-)
