Dashboard badge icons should be templateable

The title says it all. Currently my badges look like this:

This is only because there is no way to make the icon of a badge follow the state of an entity.

Yeah I know that some icons are displayed, but I'd like to be able to display an icon for a class which either doesn't have stateful icons (like lights), or which has stateful icons but for some reason does not have stateful icons in a badge (like a cover with garage_door device_class).

This is a feature request about allowing me to template the icon. Being able to template the icon negates the need to deal with implementing a stateful icon for lights and figuring out why the stateful cover icon isn't used.
