What kind of things could we do to help assist a recovery based home?

Wonder what kinds of things could be done and if up to 7 people could have access to the dashboard at a time....?

It's also unclear exactly how GitHub is used, how do I download sections of code I want to implement? I never seem to get what I want and the only command that seems to work out is git clone ....
