Describe the issue you are experiencing

Dear Home Assistant Support Team,

I am writing to report a bug I've encountered in the dashboard functionality of Home Assistant (specify version). Currently, when adding new buttons to the dashboard, I am unable to manually align them. They seem to automatically align based on an internal numbering system, which restricts customization. This issue persists despite various attempts to adjust the settings.

To enhance user experience and allow for greater flexibility in dashboard customization, I suggest implementing a drag-and-drop feature for button placement. Such a feature would enable users to arrange their dashboard elements more intuitively and efficiently, catering to diverse user preferences and needs.

New buttons are automatically aligned based on a preset numbering system, preventing manual alignment.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Version Detail: core- 2023.11.3
Initial State: I have created a dashboard using mushroom cards and have different buttons like Lights, Home appliances, Tv and etc.
Expected Manual Alignment: I wants to align the button using drag and drop feature which is not available.
Automatic Alignment Issue: new buttons are automatically aligned based on a preset numbering system, preventing manual alignment.
