Helpers, Groups Product add units selector

I'm using the Product helper to calculate gas usage, with a meter that can't be remotely read.

What I'm doing is multiplying the boiler run hours by a constant to give me m3, is there a to select the units, ie m3, or in other cases Kwh etc ?
