History panel: let user set default period

The request

I just love the new date picker for the History panel! A great improvement! However, I think it might become even better.

Currently, the date picker defaults to 2 hours before and 1 hour after the current time. For me personally, this arbitrary choice of time window doesn't work very much: about 99,9 % of the time I use the date picker to select "Today".

I'm probably not the only one who would like to have a different default for the date/time picker. Therefore I would like to suggest to make the default time window for the History panel customisable.

The alternatives

If customisabilisation of the time window isn't possible, I would like to suggest to make the default window "Today". Personally, I don't really see any use of a "3 hour" window.

N/A I think. If the above requests aren't possible, I'd love to hear how I could customise this myself, but that's probably out of the scope of a Github issue.
