I am, possibly unnecessarily, concerned about presenting my whole HA front end to the world outside my home network, including the ability to fully edit scripts etc and open doors and locks and check presence. Currently I require a VPN login to view the HA frontend. However this is a little annoying to check such things as the weather forecast or home temperature. And it’s a step beyond what anyone apart from me in my household is willing to do.
ideally, it would be possible to have a separate passive Dashboard which I could leave for the world to see, with no ability to edit anything and no operations, which I consider to be security risks available. Simply a completely different dashboard. The iOS app would switch to see that whenever it is off the home network, by utilising the different external vs internal URL already present in the app. I think this would require this page to be served on a different port to the normal HA frontend, so that I could forward that to the outside on the router.
