Lights turned on/off per area in Lights Dashboard

Description

Some of you shared how useful it would be to create a toggle for lights on-off per area in the default Lights Dashboard. It would make it easier to turn a whole area off with minimal accidental mistakes.

There is a design for desktop and another for mobile because the requirements of space are very different, and after a lot of discussion in discord we didn't find a global solution that worked for both cases.

This is desktop - there is some space because in the future this can expand to become a global controller potentially.

In desktop, this global toggle should only appear if there is more than 1 light in that area - if not we create a lot of noise for the toggle of that single light.

Hi,

Even if already merged, let me share my opinion about this here also.

Now there are 2 buttons/cards for a single light of an area, I tried it and honestly I feel confused with that.
For my personal case (don't know if its the most common case), I have a single light per area, and the consequence is that this feature supercharge the dashboard for nothing.

I like the idea to have a shortcut for all if many lights, but I am not convinced by the idea of showing it systematically.

As proposed by other users, maybe it should be managed it by an group entity when multiple lights assign to the same area.

Also, why not go further and have a shortcut at floor and house level ?

This was exactly my initial proposal in Github...

I fully agree with having this control only for multiple light...
Floor or home control are also interresting options !
Design and use to be defined, because it is easy to control too much lights by error ( confirmation, long clic, other way to manage error ?)

Yeah exactly, the idea of a card controlling multiple lights will also come later, because there are a lot of edge cases to consider.

About having 2 buttons for lights in 1 area - won't happen in this task, because if you have 1 light in 1 area you won't see the global toggle - so you don't see duplication
