There are no issues on installation and bootup on my NUC 12 (x86-64, bare-metal) with USB SkyConnect and USB Aeotec Z-Stick 7. The system is running normally. |

I'd be interested to know if there's a resolution. Someone down below in the comments said they did a cli update including stopping core. I'm lucky that I understand what all that means.... the generic trend of HA being more non-IT user friendly has been awesome... the average non-savvy user might not know what CLI is. :) (i know, there are plenty of nerds around here haha). Anyway, I spent a few hours yesterday on proxmox trying different things (including the CLI approach but not with stopping core.... might try that today). In the end I'm back at 15.2 (thanks proxmox snapshots!!). |

Anyone else noticed a nice performance increase on the PI5? 
The spike is the update it self and then it started to perform quite a bit better (on paper) compared to the previous version. Or is the load just calculated differntly after the update? CPU % remains the same (between 0 and 1%) |

There is a report that a unit with wired connection and static ip was not accessible after the update. I recently disbaled bluetooth and wifi in config.txt of my Raspberry PI 4. Has anybody with wired connection and static ip successfully updated his Raspi 4 here? |

This release process is increasingly confusing and not user-friendly. Home Assistant OS is a customer-facing project, the vast majority of users are not developers, and even the few that are would expect clear, structured, and consistent release documentation. Take this 16.0 release (and others like it): This creates confusion and frustration for everyone, especially when dealing with something that runs your home infrastructure. If you’re going to bump major versions, users need answers to basic questions: Even a short summary at the top like:
...would go a long way toward helping users make informed decisions. Right now, these release notes serve developers, not users. This isn’t a criticism of the engineering, the work itself is solid. But the release communication needs to match the needs of the audience, and right now it clearly doesn’t. Please consider improving this for future releases. |

That's a valid point, sorry for the frustration. We'll make sure to add some human-readable summary to each of the release to make the process a bit more transparent. Otherwise you were quite on point with your summary. As it's quite hard to use something like semantic versioning for something as complex as an operating system, we generally bump major versions based on our gut feeling - if there are major changes that introduce new functionality or major system components are updated, we bump it. We don't know how people are using their systems and what hardware they run it on, so changes like kernel updates can be tricky, hence the major version bump to indicate the significance. But indeed that should go with an explicit explanation instead of expecting people to understand just the PR titles. |

On yellow it killed my zigbee setup. I had to go back to 15.2. In CLI the command was: ha os update --version 15.2 |

Are you using multiprotocol add-on? If so, refer to #4154. Otherwise please report a new issue with the complete Host logs, and ideally logs from the ZHA integration as well. |

Yes, I am using the Matter and the Zha Zigbee protocols on Yellow and both were offline, when reverting to 15.2 everything came back up. |
