we do have multi-tap gestures though, tap:4, or are you referring to something else?

This can be done via an extension (involves writing cpp code) once I finish long press event hooks; I don't think i'll add this to core gestures

ultimately, I don't think the solution to this problem is to add more gestures, instead it's to use some kind of UI component, like flypie or assistive touch on iOS, or just a custom menu with rofi/eww/etc.

edit: seems the author of flypie made a cross-platform version that should work on wayland: https://github.com/kando-menu/kando

I was thinking more like double tap. Though it Touchegg worked with hyprland that probably would've been a good alternative too
