I assume if we add some more code, the uploading of the firmware will fail?

Yes, this is something we have definitely to keep an eye on. If neccessary we change partitions_custom.cs and take 200kB from the file system. We have to split it between OTA and running firmware. So we might gain additional 100kB.

This would be a breaking update. Haven't test it yet, but I assume we have to erase the ESP and re-flash it again. OTA updates from original OpenDTU would not be possible. Other way round should work.
