ever since my Hoymiles HMS-2000-4T received 1.1.12 firmware the whole dynamic power limiter does not work reliably any more. Issues have already been described in several threads, these are the most important ones: tbnobody#2784 #1890
My experiences are so far following:
Sometimes limit goes to 100% by itself and wastes stored energy, stays there even though live usage is maybe at 10%, sometimes it goes to 100% and gets stucked, without allowing battery to supply the load - 600W needed, random 180W sent or so - batteries are loaded and have enough power to provide 600W - so I would say it works randomly.
My setup:
2 Batteries connected to HMS-2000-4T, all 4 strings connected, 2 per battery. DPL is set and driven by OpenDTUonBattery, smart meter - Shelly pro 3EM. I don't use any brokers or additional assistants. DTU has the newest firmware. Shelly firmware 20250730-063238
Now comes my challenge. Despite having enough hints on the potential solution, i have no idea how to implement new limits, so that DPL works again with my firmware... after tens of threads I realized that this needs to probably be done via Web API.. Could you please explain me how can i set new limits? or... better not as this is too risky for an unexperienced user and better to wait for a new DTU firmware?
