read / query limits

Sometimes I think the relay is flooded with read request (query/req). Probably Hetzner is stopping the flood and relay goes back to normal.

There should be rate limiting in that side as well.

One connection is spamming REQs, or many connections? We could probably do a per-connection rate-limit fairly easily, and then rely on external services like nginx to apply concurrent connection limits.

Per IP rate limit would be more useful if doable.
I guess the other solution is to log the queries and parse with another tool and IP ban ?

If it was one connection spamming REQs, this would stop wouldn't it:

# Maximum number of subscriptions (concurrent REQs) a connection can have open at any time
maxSubsPerConnection = 20

It would help reduce concurrency, but ultimately the connection could still perform the REQ, and then close it in a loop...
