Hewlett Packard Enterprise and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer recently announced hiring for several roles at a new Center of Excellence in Galway, Ireland. The new cloud R&D center will help expand the capabilities of the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform.

+## HPE expands presence in Galway
+
+The Office of the CTO is focused on leading HPE engineering teams to build differentiated inventions and co-inventions that drive secure, sustainable and transformative outcomes, guiding the industry into a more sustainable, equitable and efficient future through engineering design and innovation. 
+
+This new cloud R&D center is integral to the development of the HPE GreenLake platform, which is the foundation of HPE’s as-a-service offerings. The HPE GreenLake platform is used by our customers to accelerate data-first modernization with cloud services that can run on premise, at the edge, in a co-location facility, and in the public cloud. 
+
+HPE already maintains a large presence in Galway and serves as the hub for Digital Services R&D, HPE GreenLake Cloud Services & Solutions R&D, and Cyber Security in Europe. 
+

+The new roles announced by the Office of the CTO will round out a team of software R&D professionals who will support customers and partners with a unified hybrid cloud experience and easy access to cloud services.
