The hard part will be the team and workflow transformation. Everything about collaboration will change in a world where AI writes 99% of our code.

We're so bullish on spec-first, agentic workflows that we're building tools to make it easier for everyone. Among many things, I'm obsessed with the problem of scaling these "frequent intentional compaction" workflows collaboratively across large teams.

On Tuesday, we're launching CodeLayer, our new "post-IDE IDE" in private beta. If you're a fan of Superhuman and/or vim mode and you're ready to move beyond "vibe coding" and get serious about building with agents, we'd love to have you join the waitlist.

If you or someone you know is an engineering leader that wants to 10x their team's productivity with AI, we're doing a forward-deployed offering where we help you tackle the organizational hurdles to make ai-first coding work at scale. I'll also be diving deep on this stuff at the [YC CTO summit](https://bookface.ycombinator.com/posts/92305).

If you or someone you know is an engineering leader that wants to 10x their team's productivity with AI, we're are forward-deploying with everyone from 6-person startups to 1000-employee public companies to help teams make the culture/process/tech shift to transition to the ai-first coding world.

### Comments - Whats happening to humanlayer?

We closed off new HumanLayer signups about a month ago. This was a hard decision to make but I've got so much conviction in the new thing that it doesn't make sense to keep supporting two products. We'll be working with our current customers to migrate off, and will likely end up open sourcing large parts of the old codebase (or maybe you can point ralph at the [llms-full.txt](https://www.humanlayer.dev/docs/llms-full.txt) and reverse engineer it from specs 🙂)

grateful to @nick and the mandel team for being one of our earlist champions and the first to deploy to production. Shouts out to all the other founders in our batch who tried humanlayer, messed with the intergrations, gave us feedback, sent us bug reports, and helped us grind along our search for PMF.

If you want to learn more about why I lost conviction in humanlayer the product, and why I'm tending bearish on horizontal agent infra in general these days, hit me up and happy to share, otherwise I'll save that story for another post 🙂
