iRobot "pausing all work related to non-floorcare innovations, including ... education"

The January 29th 2024 iRobot press release says (in addition to laying off 350 employees - ouch, wow, oh no):

"pausing all work related to non-floorcare innovations, including ... education"

Don't know what this will mean for us Create3 owners in the short term. I am not aware of any showstopper issues in my path using H.2.4 firmware at the moment. (And Humble doesn't EOL until May 2027, so we're probably ok for another three years.)

It appears "pausing innovation" does not mean pausing support - iRobot support noticed here. Great relief.
