Describe your question.
Hi everyone,
I'm a researcher working on object detection, and I’m trying to integrate my custom detection software with the iRobot Create 3 platform for the first time.
I’m completely new to Create 3 and would appreciate any advice or resources. Here’s what I’m working with:
I have an object detection system running on a Windows-based small computer.
My goal is to connect this system to Create 3 and use it for vision-based interaction/control.
I have two main questions:
Are there any beginner-friendly tutorials or guides for getting started with Create 3 (especially around ROS 2)?
Can Create 3 be connected to a Windows-based system?
If yes, what’s the recommended way to communicate (USB, Wi-Fi, ROS 2 bridge, etc.)?
Are there known limitations or compatibility issues I should be aware of?
Any help, links, or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
