The MQ container images are based on Red Hat Universal Base Image, using Red Hat packages such as
bash
,openssl
,grep
and so on. Red Hat limits support for these packages to containers running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) nodes only. RHEL nodes are unfortunately not available out-of-the-box as a pre-built optimized AMI.MQ on Linux supports Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and Ubuntu, but only supplies pre-built images on RHEL. Amazon Linux isn't currently an option for running inside the container itself. What operating systems are you using for your nodes? Is lack of Red Hat support a problem for you? You'll still get security fixes when they're publicly available, but won't be able to raise support issues with Red Hat.
