Small question on developing with this API

Hello!

Just wanted to ask a quick question since I'm trying to get into developing for the logitech craft. I was planning to use this API to create an extension for Firefox Developer Edition and add more functionalities to the crown in the browser. I've started out by creating a Logi Options plugin folder and moving it to the corresponding folder (following the SDK's instructions) but it doesn't seem to recognize the profile.

Does the app related to the profile (Firefox Dev. Ed. in this case) have to already have some code to communicate with the Logi Options Profile before the software realizes there is a profile available for installation?
