Retention

Howdy,

I'm looking for persistent storage of my prometheus time series and found your neat tool.
How does it work if I restore a data dump that is older then the retention time (default 15d I think)? Will prometheus simply delete it?

That's a good question - I am not sure how Prometheus would handle that during startup.
