Can't launch the game

Hello,

I've followed in details the installation, and extracted all from the Heroes 2 version I bought on GOG. I've searched everywhere to see if someone else has had the issue and couldn't find.

=> When I launch the game my 2 screens are black and all I can hear is the music.

I'm on Windows 11.

Did you try to install fheroes2 with the exe installer downloaded from our github, or did you download the zip archive?

I tried both ways. With exactly the same result.

What is strange is sometimes I can see the cursor when I alt-tab. I don't understand why it takes 1 full screen and half of the second one (it's only black though).

Is there a way to force the game to start windowed and on a given resolution?

I found the solution, I had to go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\fheroes2 and delete the fheroes.cfg file.

I had to look in the source code to understand that file existed.

There were weird values inside (probably from when I tried fheroes2 years ago), like ultra wide resolution and out of screen coordinate.
