Two questions regarding syntax highlighting

1. Is it possible right now to use a let's call it a universal delimeter? The idea is, everything on the left of this delimeter is one color, everything on the right is another color, like = for .desktop files and : for yaml files.
2. Is a wildcard possible right now in keyword declaration?

Hi @kenderipa, what you are describing is not currently supported. Regarding 2., can you give an example where it could be useful to have such wildcards?

For example, for .desktop files, there are several entries, like Comment[language], GenericName[language], Keywords[language], each for several languages. Defining several entries for each language seems impractiacal.

My coding skills actually have negative values, otherwise I would already throw PRs left and right.
